Winning teams and qualified seniors (must have 3,000 points by their senior year) will take a bus and tour Sukup, CAT, a botanical garden, a zoo, and a dairy farm. At the convention, we will take advantage of everything FFA has to offer, including sessions, final rounds, and the career fair.

Goal 1: Ensure Full Participation and Readiness

• Ensure that all qualifying seniors (with 3,000 points) and winning teams are ready to participate, including confirming eligibility, registration, and travel logistics.

Goal 2: Maximize Learning and Growth Opportunities

• Provide students with the best educational experience by encouraging active participation in sessions, competitions, and networking opportunities at the career fair.

Goal 3: Foster Team Building and Reflection

• Strengthen team camaraderie by documenting the trip, reflecting on experiences, and creating lasting memories, ensuring the group comes back inspired and unified.

Plan 1: Organize & Prepare

• Confirm which seniors have earned their 3,000 points and finalize the winning teams attending.

• Register all students for the National FFA Convention and secure bus transportation and hotel accommodations.

• Share a packing list, itinerary, and behavior expectations with students and parents.

Plan 2: Engage & Participate

• Create a schedule highlighting key sessions, final rounds, and the career fair so students know where to be and when.

• Encourage students to actively participate ask questions, meet industry professionals, and take notes during tours (Sukup, CAT, botanical garden, zoo, dairy farm).

• Check in with students daily to ensure they’re attending planned events and making the most of the experience.

Plan 3: Reflect & Share

• Have students document the trip through photos, journals, or short video clips.

• After returning home, hold a debrief session to reflect on what they learned and how it connects to their future goals in agriculture.

• Share the trip highlights with the school, community, or on social media to showcase the chapter’s achievements and experiences.

Students arrive at the convention fully prepared, organized, and ready to participate in all scheduled events, with smooth travel and registration processes.
